Hi Friends,

Hope all is well.

I was asked to perform at a fundraiser for an organization called "Our
Children's Place". They are an organization that are committed to
maintaining a bond between incarcerated woman(who have committed
non-violent crimes) and their children.

The show is this Friday night, June 2nd and will be at the United
Church of Chapel Hill..1321 Airport Rd.
The time is : 7:30pm-9:00pm.

The line up: Amaris Howard-spoken word artist
Janet Stolp-1st place winner of the 2003 NC songwriter
award. Performing from her new cd release
Slow Me Down.

We have 2 wonderful musicians backing us up. Mike Bisbee on acoustic
and electric guitar and Rick Eckberg on acoustic bass.

Hi all,

I'm still here and have some news...

My husband plopped down the Independent newspaper on our kitchen
counter last Wednesday and said "hey Yas , take a look at this! To
my surprise there was my cd cover along with others that were
nominated for Indy awards in the Triangle area.

I am very greatful to be acknowledged and nominated for Best Solo Lp
and Best Solo Artist. Today is the last day to get a copy of the
paper. The website is www.indyweek.com.

There is a special display of local artists nominated at Borders in
Chapel Hill and if you don't have my cd , that would be a great place
to purchase one.

My next local show will be at the Pour House in Raleigh on February
23rd. Grab some dinner in Raleigh and then join us. Celeste Krenz
and Bob Sinclair will be sharing the evening with me and they are both
great performers and songwriters. If you haven't been to the pour
house it's a really great venue to check out.

I'd recommend Yasmine's first album to any fan of singer-songwriters and girls with guitars. I'd recommend her second album much more widely. The band gives it a polish and a pop appeal, and Yasmine has proven now that she can stretch, and adapt, and remain true to herself all at once, as few can. She deserves a broad audience -- and if she keeps on as she's begun, she'll earn one very soon.

Hi all,

I wanted to get you a quick reminder that for some of you I am going
to be coming your way this month. I am playing at Carolina Wine
Sellers tonight with 2 wonderful singers backing me up on some
percussion and voice. That is in Winston Salem. For details:

I am going to be returning to the Flipside in Clayton on Saturday
November 12th. Ok folks lets get some bodies in there...we are
waiting to have another great evening..bring friends..!!

I will be in Pittsboro on the 18th at one of my favorite spots the
General store.

For those of you out of town I am still working on the DC spots,
hoping to be there between Christmas and New Year.I'll keep you posted.

I am going to be going south in February. The tour is with 2 other
songwriters beginning at the Pour House (headlining)in Raleigh and
ending at the Bluebird in Nashville. Keep an eye on my website for
details.

Tune into MVY radio sometime(internet station out of Martha's
Vineyard) I'm on rotation, the sampler is out and it's being broadcast
and promoted nationally.

Borders in Chapel Hill is carrying my cd. If you don't have a copy
this is a great way to support me as a performer. Go in and ask for
the cd., purchase it for you or a friend.

Hello South Carolina,

I am driving down to Greenville tomorrow and will be interviewed at a
radio station ( WUSC) in Lexington from 11:30-12:00. Then off to the
main part of town. Suppose to be a great record store called Horizon
that I'll have to visit. I'll be playing at the Underground Coffee
house (Acoustic Seen) from 8:00pm-10.00.

The 15th of the month I'll be in Columbia SC at Jammin Java and the
next day at Borders in Winston salem. I have a few nice openers that
are in the works for this month as well and I'll keep ya posted.

Oct 29th I'm at that lovely coffee house in Durham called Francesca's.
We packed the place last time and it was really fun. Hope to see you
there.

NOTE***The gig at Cat's Cradle was cancelled.
